CAREER DAY
University of Guyana (UG), 2007

Wow, what a day it was....

Career day at UG, is a day set aside for kids in high school to come and see what UG have to offer, in other words, trying to help them to choose a career that is of interest to them, explaining to them what it is all about, what UG expects of them, what they can possibily do in the future, scopes and opportunities for further studies, etc, etc..
Well this year it was a competition among faculty, competing for the Registrar trophy and a whole lot of other prices.... My faculty ( Health Sciences) choose to wear red and black and of course complimented with the lab coats... boy we sure did looked like professionals....
The day went on with us talking to curious students and teachers and anyone else who wanted to know more about being a pharmacist, and by the end of the day, ive had it with talking one thing over and over, and yes even my leg gived up lol
Anyways the good thing that came out of that day was that I really knew what I wanted to be, I feel happy knowing that this is what I want, you know talking to people about it makes me feel, hey this is it, and there is absolutely nothing else in the world ill want to be....
BTW im still not sure who won, as soon as I do know ill let you know, of course all indications showed Health Sciences will win, because we showed alot more sings of preparation, we were more uniform, and i think we did bring out what was essential to convince students of their career choices...
We had most of the students attracted to our faculty as well, because almost every singe one of them wanted to see the "dead man", thats preserved for studies in Medicine... What an attraction that was!!!!
The picture above shows a set of soon to be pharmacists, minutes before the actual expo started....
