The city's gone crazy...

It was so lovely, everyone in red and white, it was packed downtown.. reminds me of what it looks like christmas time...and yes not only because it was Valentines day, but Guyanese sure is having a treat today...
Tonight is the launching of a very new phone company in Guyana "Digicel".
Digicel is very popular around the Caribbean, so this means GT&T is not alone anymore. Its truly amazing to see how fast digicel is taking over Guyana, you can actually have a cell phone for just $5 US. WOW!! Talk about competition!!! So much more new features, cheaper rates, and a whole lot more....
Almost every single vehicle had a red and white digicel flag.. and thats not all!! The one and only AKON and TOK is here tonight for the launching, and its absolutely free to go to the show/launching once you have a ticket, that you can collect when you buy anything from Digicel...Talk about the city going crazy....This is so much like a national event...
Its good to see people so much into things, it brings out what our motto truly said...and with the world cup cricket only few days away... one can only imagine what will happen around here...
Anyways I went to the city mall this morning.. AKON was schedule to be there 9 30 am...Loads of people where flocked there from as early as 7 30 am... He had a red carpet welcome and boy it was all fun...
Now as AKON will say "Smack that" lol, no more take what you have service from GT&T...With digicel, expect more, get more...
No wonder the city's gone crazy.

Here is a link to listen to Akon's music online...
Enjoy.....
